That question, “Why are you wanting to short sale your home”, is always first when someone comes to interview our team.
The answer is quite revealing. Most of our exclusive clients are those that have some type of“clearance” and do “fancy, off of the radar” work. I’ll stop there – those might have no other option than to have a Short Sale Negotiated on their behalf. We have clients from all walks of life – some have found that a Short Sale is the best option – others have found that letting the home foreclosure would be better for them. With Either case – A Short Sale is a very personal experience.
When you are viewing sources on the internet and looking for Short Sale information without having to tie up with another, please be careful. Make sure you look into the “about” pages, find a real human being that can be responsible for the content that is being written. There are also a lot of games being played in the name of “give me your information” – Here are a few:

- I authored a white paper
- I will short sale your home for free – just enter your information
- Free Short Sales to the next 5 applicants
If I weren’t in the Real Estate business – I would not know better. The key to any short sale is having agents that have done it before and are accountable. Those that will keep you briefed with communication with regard to their experiences and progress with your bank or banks. No one is an all inclusive expert in the short sale process due to the requirements and liabilities changing on a daily basis.
