What most buyers forget to pay attention to when buying a home

    Most buyers check out the condition of the roof, the interior of the home, the curb appeal, fixtures and the upgrades or lack of them.  Most buyers have watched the HGTV shows about buying homes.  Most get a huge amount of advice from those in their sphere of influence.

    The aunts are giving their two cents, the uncles are giving theirs, then you have mom and dad wanting to opine about various items.  However, some of the most overlooked items when buyers are buying a home are:

    • Position and type of trees
    • slope of adjoined land
    • door knocking “all” of the neighbors with a buyers entire family(everyone that will be living in the property)
    • Calling the local law enforcement office to check on the neighborhood.  Is there a lot of crime, a special location or some home that police respond to on a daily basis?
