What is the difference between a real estate salesperson and a real estate broker

Not so much a loaded question, but one that deserves to be answered.  Welcome to the REMAX of Santa Clarita CA Paris911 Podcast where we answer every real estate question we get.  If you want to ask your own real estate question, feel free below and we will put your “intelligent” questions up in lights 🙂

To get back to the Q and A resource with regard to past and future podcasts – all you have to do is head over to our Main Real Estate website and type into the MacBoX the phrase “Q and A” – without the quotes.  You will then be able to see the real estate questions we have answered in audio for – such as the one on this page, with some verbiage explaining some of the highlights of our specific Q and A specific podcast.

This question is about differences between real estate sales people and a real estate broker.  Besides the license requirements and the fact a Broker can own his own real estate company, the differences are not many.

I remember back on the LAPD we had some line supervisors that had done very limited “field work”.  When it came down to those supervisors, that were on the apparent fast track when it came to their promoting, making important decisions in the field – they were unable for the most part.  We had some that were gifted and their limited field experience did not cause them issue 1.  However, those types of, NRDW(BCMC term), supervisors are rare indeed.  The types that are born with a sense of humility are rarely found in today’s leaders. (remember Regan?)

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
