However, there are over 1 million real estate licenses in the United States. That’s a bunch.
Only a fraction of those, “over a million” licensed real estate agents, are truly active. Then you have another fraction who are actually Card Carrying Realtors(in good standing). Then another fraction who do the “lion’s share” of the business.
By the way – if you are working with a Realtor, please do you and them a favor. If they are doing a good job for you, if they are working hard for you, then stay loyal. Don’t fall into the trap of switching agents because some other agent, after they find out you are working with someone else, starts saying things you want to hear and that sounds too good to be true.
Offer multiple connections
Relationships with other local agents. Being part of the local networking groups. Members of the Chamber of Commerce, as examples.
Points of contact
While agents tout about offering their clients expandable teams, you need to know what you are going to be hiring going in.
It could be that you want to work directly with the agent you hired to do the job. Maybe you don’t want to work with any of their team. Knowing how they operate is going to save you a lot of frustration.
In the real estate industry Teams get a bad wrap by those agents who don’t have teams, saying they are not going to serve you well. Teams get praised by those agents who have them, saying they are critical to your success as a real estate buyer/seller.
You will know
I will say that it’s a feeling. Something you know is right. You will feel taken care of and know that you seem to be the only client of the “right realtor” whom you are using. Not that it’s like dating, but a good Realtor will make you feel very important and be there for you.
Be safe – search well and please let me know when you are ready. That is if you are not working with another realtor 🙂 – Have a GREAT day and please let me know when I may be of great assistance to you and yours. I’m Connor with HONOR Macivor with REMAX of Santa Clarita – SCVnest.com.
