Via Metro in the Santa Clarita Valley is one of our favorite spots for new home ownership

We have always liked the area that Via Metro is within, in the Santa Clarita Valley Cities. In fact, I believe that Via Metro was one of the reasons why Santa Clarita was broken into a new area of the SCV.

Before, there was only the individual cities in the SCV. Today, Santa Clarita has it’s own place once again.

And Via Metro is well centered in it.

One of our New Home Agents for the Santa Clarita Valley cities signed up a new home buyer at the location today.

She is happy and this was after she had been on the waiting list for quite some time.

Our new home agents have “special” relationships with the new home agents and we get “insight” into listings that potentially are falling out of escrow.

That is when we shine and when we have been able to hook them up when it comes buying new housing.

We had a couple that used us to sell their Palmdale Home. I gave them a HUGE break on the commission to be paid to us because they were using us to buy at a new home tract.

Buy they did and did they ever change their mind when it came to flooring to be chosen.

While I do consider myself a miracle worker, there are somethings that I just would not do. Such as include over 50k worth of upgrades when I’m already tapped out on the price of the home I was buying.

Unfortunately, I warned them and I told them to take it easy. Spend the next several years doing those improvements. Buy the options that would be hard to change in the future. Such as additional bedrooms and bathrooms.

That is what you should be doing, don’t pay for hardwood flooring and wainscoting. Those things can be changed and added in the future.

But, Mr. Buyer would not hear of it. He wanted the ability to finance it. Real Estate buyers – click here for further reading

I am an advisor. I will advise. When it comes to what I advise being different than what those I’m representing choose to do, I will step back if it will not be harming me, my team or our reputation. But, if the issue is a monetary one, I will advise, but the buyer/seller has the final work. I’m not dad!!!

If you are wanting to buy a new home at a new home center and if they are giving you the option to finance upgrades, that’s great, just make sure they aren’t going to be too expensive.

Sometimes they charge too much because they are able to be financed. That is from me to you and that advice is free.Further reading – how much home can you afford

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
