So hence the title of this blog post. “Most are not gaming” the multiple listing service. In fact, the MLS should be your most trusted point of real estate search. The reason being is because that system is “enforceable”.
The board of Realtors, which is the proprietary owner of the Multiple Listing Service can fine and suspend agents who want to play games such as placing bad intel and content within a real estate listing. Such as having photos which are not of the subject property.
Other examples include square footages which are not reflective of the property and the source of the data, verifiable by the assessor, builder, owner, or title company.
