Trade-Offs When Choosing Santa Clarita Valley Home

Homes are never perfect.  Even when those homes are located in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Of course, we are very proud of where we live, work, play and have raised (continuing to raise), our kids.  However, have traveled and really enjoy coming home.

When it comes to the real estate you may be buying in the Santa Clarita Valley Cities – Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Castaic, Canyon Country, Newhall and Saugus, you may be surprised to find out there are always some trade offs.

There are almost always trade-offs when buying a home.  You may be forgoing a larger Santa Clarita CA home to be in the right location or Selling new Santa Clarita Valley homesperhaps forgoing location to buy a larger home.  Whatever you are giving up the return needs to be worth it and, more importantly, you need to be aware of the pros and cons with any given property before closing day.

You may walk into a home and fall in love with it instantly but don’t let what you see overshadow reality.  Identifying a home is part of the process but emotions can get in the way.

If a home appears ideal, or even better, consider everything associated with it.  Are there a lot of necessary repairs that will end up costing you in the long run?  Despite falling in love with a home if it will be too expensive to maintain, repair or even operate.

There are many steps involved in buying a home and one of the best resources is an experienced REALTOR®.  Your list of wants and needs can be bounced off of a trusted real estate professional to ensure that your home purchase is a successful one.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
