    As a Santa Clarita – Valencia real estate agent you have a lot of choices as far as brokers and real estate companies go.REMAX is the right way

    Paris and I have been with REMAX almost since our beginnings starting in 1998 and 1999 respectively.

    Maybe we have a hidden agenda in wanting others to join us at REMAX? (read on to see our non-agenda)

    Before we earned our stripes and came aboard with REMAX – we worked with three different real estate brokerages.

    I will tell you that the difference was night and day.

    This was pre-internet. This was when a MLS listing was entered into the MLS by us (the agent) having to fill out a legal sized sheet of paper, included with $19.00, and driving it to the Southland Regional Association of Realtors (SRAR).

    It was not long after when the Board of Realtors developed a system, based on MS-DOS, where we could “Broker Load” the real estate listings.

    Faxes weren’t trusted in the late 1990’s and most agents, with lenders and clients, met face to face.

    Since that time, technology has erupted and today there are few brokerages who stayed on top of the new developments.

    REMAX did, being the most successful – here are my 5 Reasons why you Should Join REMAX:

    1. REMAX is not scared to spend money – They are advertising during primetime, the super bowl, world series and other “mega costly” events. That brings you attention due to you being a REMAX agent.

    2. REMAX sells more real estate – More homes, condos and town-homes than any other real estate brokerage. That helps you when listing real estate – being a REMAX agent.

    3. REMAX is World Wide – Talk about a relocation infrastructure. Many brokerages are worldwide, but not in the same volume as REMAX. This is a built in Referral Network you are able to access if you are a REMAX agent.

    4. REMAX is Real Estate – When you ask a perfect stranger what REMAX is, most can state “they are a Real Estate Company”. That brand is powerful when people are seeking real estate representation. You can be better known if you are a REMAX agent.

    5. REMAX has “esprit de corps” – a feeling of pride, fellowship, and common loyalty shared by the members of a particular group. – Me having been a long time member of the LAPD and having worked around Marines, Seals, Recon, Rangers, Special Forces, Swat and other very “technical groups” when teaching firearms and tactics, I know how this common loyalty helps the objective. In real estate our objective is keeping the real estate seller / buyer safe. REMAX has this as part of it’s culture. You can be a part of this culture only if you are a REMAX agent.

    If you are new agent, without training and experience, I’d ask you to move along. If you are an agent who has cut their teeth on real estate, I’d ask you to come into REMAX for an interview.

    Our non-agenda

    I get nothing for having pride in REMAX. I get nothing if you join REMAX. We don’t have profit sharing.

    Do I want more agents in my office to compete with? NO! – But, if other agents are going to exist, I think they should be where they can better support their real estate clients.

    It was the same as when I met cops who were very capable working for other agencies, I always talked about them coming aboard the LAPD. Also when I met solid people who wanted to be cops – LAPD and my personal why were the first statements I made to them!

    Paris and I are independent contractors which have the real estate buyer’s and seller’s, greater good, at heart.
