If you are in a business in the Santa Clarita Valley, the best position in our current market is by being the “only one” in your niche.
Within our real estate business – We represent Police Officers and Deputy Sheriff’s, with all of their real estate needs, but we help other people as well.
At the start, our niche – before it was popular, was founded on LEO’s(law enforcement officers)… This was because a LEA, (law enforcement agency), was where I worked. I was an LAPD, full time, officer from 1990-2007 and a reserve officer from 2007 to 2013.
Today, that is still a niche of ours, but it has expanded as Paris911 has become a more recognized local BRAND for Real Estate.
There are over 200 REMAX agents at REMAX of Santa Clarita CA. We are the only “Paris911 Team”.
So, it’s like a brand inside a brand.
Here is our morning ritual – or at least mine, as I am the marketing hub of Paris911.
I shut down my cellular phone after awaking at 0400hrs (yes, that’s 4am, before the cock crows, and before the sun comes up)…
I shut down my phone so I don’t lose my train of thought. When younger – the train was much harder to de-rail… Today, well, I’m older 🙂
I climb aboard my Treadclimber – I set the speed for 3.1 mph at level 8 – and start walking. When I have concluded my 30 minutes of walking – according to the machine I will have blasted 620 calories…
While on the Treadclimber – I read real estate news posted on my Feedler – I used to have my feeds on Google Reader, but that’s gone – Feedler is my iphone and ipad app, it’s a “paid for” app, but it’s great.
I send myself articles of interest to my Evernote (it plugs into Feedler)…
When finished – I walk back into the house and sit down at my computer and start writing.
I polish off at least 4 articles and also interact on social media. Note, I said “interact” – not “plug myself and Paris911 selfishly…”
I also do our morning Podcast/Radio show and post that up on SoundCloud – using that widget for my blog – at least one of them – depending on the news. This Podcast is typically done on my iPhone via my Bluetooth headset while driving to Starbucks…
On my way to the office – I listen to one of my most recent “books on tape” – (remember tapes??), via my ITunes account.
It is now about 0930hrs… (I showered and shaved somewhere in there too 🙂 )
I then start to look at my email, replying to any and all inquires – sending leads(this goes on 24/7/365), to our buyers agents and making that all important “first touch”… This continues at this pace until about 12p – when I will start calling back those that have called, or text back those who have texted….
All is done 7 days a week – However, our Santa Clarita real estate office is attended by Paris or I on weekends… My Paris911 Team of buyers agents do work weekends. I will attend any pre-schedule meetings on Weekends by appointment made during the week.
It works – We are in the top 5 Teams at REMAX of Santa Clarita, for YTD – 2013…
