    We have watched as the NOD’s have continued to be filed by the banks that own mortgages that they deem as “having not been paid” or not “kept current”. Typically, if you are falling behind due to some traumatic life changing event – most banks give approximately 90 days before they head over the local court house and file the Notice of Default against you.     The NOD filing puts the court on notice and establishes a “legal frame” to allow them to move forward with foreclosure on the property, if the payments are not caught up and satisfied.
