It reminds me of what some fools in real estate ask us 🙂 – Hey, I love questions, but not those that they know they should not have the answer to.
Example: When listing your Santa Clarita Residence with a local agent, you should have laid out before hand, what you can say, as their Realtor Professional, and what you cannot say.
The same discussion applies to the Seller that is hiring the real estate agent.
We have direct discussions about real estate etiquette – as it pertains to what I will allow the seller to say to the prospective clients when they are viewing their home for sale.
These discussions are also about me and what myself and my team can say when speaking with other real estate agents and prospective buyers about the sellers property.
It may be okay with our seller to let people know they are flexible on the price. However, with most Santa Clarita real estate sellers, it is not okay to tell people interested in offering.
Most sellers want to know the best ways in which they can sell their home for the most money possible. One of the questions we had this morning about one of our Valencia CA listings, was from another agent, that should have known better.
He asked me point blank, as if we were buddies and as if I'd throw my seller under the bus at the first chance I had, “Hey Connor, what will the seller really take? How much do they owe? Come-on, tell them they are not going to get more than what our clients are going to offer…”
There you go – some agents have no sense. When you are hiring someone to represent you, make sure they have your best interest at heart and make sure they are reputable real estate professionals…
