That Real Estate Flyer you picked up could cause you harm…

Real Estate flyers.  Have you seen them?  Maybe when you were viewing homes with your Real Estate agent?

Flyers can help a Home Buyer…That flyer could hurt you

The BEST Real Estate flyers have the price of the property.  They also have things to jar your memory as far as upgrades contained in the home.

Good Intel – besides what you can absorb by viewing the home, is also a good rule of thumb when it comes to creating a Real Estate flyer.  Year built, square footage, HOA fee’s – etc…

Items such as which school district – If there are any Mello Roos and Assessments – What about issues that may/could effect any buyer?

Those are some of the “off radar” intel that can assist buyers in knowing whether or not they want to buy the home.

What about a “call capture” phone number?

I think that a buyer, when driving by a home that is for sale, that wants to stop and pull a flyer, should not have their “call captured”.

I think that is a bit “low down and gutter sniping”.  I think any buyer should be able to call or email the real estate agent to get more information.

However, if that real estate agent “captures” their phone number because their system does, and uses their phone number to call repeatedly, in the future, with the hope of selling them something, that agent can be called and cinched up…

As if the “agent’s” call capture isn’t bad enough…

What if the flyers were made by a company that will sell your personal and private information to agents for a referral fee?

How’s that for exciting?  It’s kind of like the “real estate syndication” websites, that are monetized by agents that cannot come up with leads of their own.  When they pay for those platforms (the agents), the syndication websites will sell back to them, any “consumer’s” personal and private information.  Phone number, name, email address etc…

That you probably knew.  However, the Call Capture phone number on a real estate flyer, you probably didn’t.

Be safe with the phone numbers you are calling.  No one likes to change their mobile phone number too often…

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
