So you want to be a real estate agent

Depending on the real estate market, maybe today is a good time. However, it's important to look 6 months into the future.

We explain it can take 6 months of hard work to have your very first payday as a real estate agent.

One of the things we speak about is our ability to cultivate real estate leads.

If you enter the game with capital to invest in real estate coaching and training, you are ahead of the game.

    Let me tell you something...

However, most people that enter the real estate representation venue are not as prepared as others.

The first thing to figure out is if real estate is for you. Understand dry spells and your ability to save money, realizing, you have to be able to do both, you may have the razor sharp edge that is necessary to make it.

You also need to understand that you should not be swayed by every single shiny object that crosses your path. You will be called by those “offering instant leads” and those that say “We can get your website on the first page of google”. You need to know there is no silver bullet and everything is achieved in real estate by hard work, sleepless nights and a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

If you are ready for this kind of life, then reach out to your Successful Local Realtor and see what they think.

However, the average agent makes $30k a year. The Top Producing real estate agents make over $3M and more a year, depending on their market price.

The best place to start is to find a real estate agent that won't BS you. Those are hard to find, but you can feel free to contact me and I'll show you the way.

Most agents are going to tell you it's something you don't want to do. They will tell you it's too hard. They will also tell you there is no money in it.

I am here to tell you that is not true. There is money in it if you are good and are personable and don't fall victim to those Top Producers that develop unstoppable ego's.

Getting your real estate license is simple. It costs a fee to attend the school. Most are held online.

The second step is to take the state exam. That is something that is simple as well. Make sure you find a rreal estate school that “guarantees” your passing of the state exam.

Third – have 6 months of reserve. Reserve to pay your bills and to invest in a real estate website or blog.

6 Months of fees to be a board of Realtor's member. Making you an actual Realtor in your city or area.

After you pass the state exam your “mailing address” mailbox will fill with offers by real estate brokerages and real estate companies that will want to hire you.

They know that every single real estate licensee is worth at least three deals. My point being, choose wisely. The three deals they are referring to are yours, families and a close friends.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
