Short sales in Santa Clarita and their negotiation

    When it comes to Short Sale help and Short Sale help centers – you can do a lot worse than working with a local Real Estate professional.  However, the “worse” will enter into the picture if those you are choosing are not well versed in the Short Sale process.

    We decided a long time ago – back when the market first turned in 2007, we would stay on the cutting edge when it came to Short Sales and their processes.  We are not out of the woods yet when it comes to Short Sales being a “majority” of the Santa Clairta real estate inventory.So Hence our team being well versed in handling the Short Sales for our clients.

    One of the things I can tell you is they have changed very dramatically since the start of a market we have seen in the past.  The Last Short Sale market was present in the Santa Clarita Valley at the last real estate depression (cycle).

    However, during that time the “internet” resources were not present as they are today.  The Internet and the World Wide Web have streamlined the Short Sale process making them much more “workable”.  Can you imagine how much “hard mailing” was done to get the paperwork to the bank in order to get the short sale approved?  It was ludicrous.

    Despite what you may have heard – it is not a “set it and forget it” process. Short Sales need full time attention from someone that knows the banks many different bottom lines.  You have to know when the banks are bluffing and when to hold.  Just like the country song, “You have to know when to hold them – know when to fold them,  know when to walk away and know when to run…”
