Selling Your Home, Can’t Afford Repairs when needing to relocate

real estate REMAX Relocation to and from Santa Clarita Valley

We have been working at building our REMAX Relocation services within our REMAX of Santa Clarita CA Paris911 Team.  Today, we have several agents that work for our team directly, representing our Relocation clientele.  They are known as buyers agents and do a great job. They should, Paris and I hired them. 🙂

You can check out a bit about them by contact us through our “email me” button.  If you are interested in the Santa Clarita valley cities and have not hooked up with a real estate agents – contact us to set up our Buyers Briefing in our REMAX of Santa Clarita offices.

A perplexing problem we come across very often is, “What do you do if you are selling your home and you cannot afford repairs?”  Selling real estate is stressful and often done out of necessity as opposed to desire. Yes, you are aware that curb appeal is important and your home’s condition and appearance will either attract a buyer or repel one, but what can you do if your finances are limited?

This is a tough position to be in, there is no doubt about it. The first choice is to price out your competition. The home next door may be in great condition but if yours is priced better then a buyer may be willing to do the repairs himself. The other option is to offer credit at closing for items like new carpet or new windows.

Time and time again you read how important it is to stage your home, make repairs, and work on your home’s curb appeal. Search the internet for low-cost home improvement projects and do whatever you can do. If you can’t make improvements, you simply can’t make improvements. Price is king in today’s market and a bargain may be more appealing to a buyer than a perfect home.

We have placed our “Relocation Standard Sales” – the most recent three addition to the local Santa Clarita relocation market below.  Each of these properties is a standard sale.  No hardship nor distress.  Most can close in 30-45 days depending on the top of loan you are getting and depending on how good your real estate lender is.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation. Writing on their Real Estate Blog is a passion. SCVnest.com/blog is where you will find over 10,000 real estate articles.
