Mr. and Mrs. Seller – It is okay to schedule more than one agent to show your home at a specific time.
We can all just get along. Agents are use to this type of “appointment only” action and here is why. When a new home enters a constrictive real estate market, agents typically show the heck of them in the first couple of days. There are multiple times that agents, with their clients, are inside of a Santa Clarita home for sale at the same time.
If it bothers the agent, showing with other agents, then that agent, the one that arrived first can take the key and lock the door from the inside. Most agents will ask their clients about viewing homes with others being present beforehand.

Most real estate agents do play well with others. We real estate agents mostly know one another, we know etiquette and we know how to act in public. However, if we don’t – then we can always lock the door. When the other “Realtor” knocks, we say, “Done in a minute – thanks for your patience.”
It works. When showing listings and homes for sale in the Santa Clarita Valley, it happens quite a lot. The same holds true of Santa Clarita open houses. Those types of showings typically have several agents with their clients inside at once.
While I am sure, if you were to scrub the web for stories of Santa Clarita real estate agents physically fighting at homes they are viewing with their clients, you would probably find some.
But this is definitely more the exception than the rule.
A final word on “appointment only” listings. When agents have to set appointments with their clients, they typically only have “certain time frames” when they can view the home. It may be due to work/child care restrictions. It could be for other factors. No matter what the reason is as to why a real estate buyer can view a home only at a specific time, a Seller does not want to miss a “potential buyer” by wanting to be the “time specific” scheduler.
