    When it comes to figuring out whether or not they want to buy or sell a home, real estate sellers need to gather better intel than previously thought.

    Back in the day preceding the “active and total” internet that we have today, most sellers took their neighbors words, their agents words, and their sphere’s words to heart. They used the “words” from those sources to validate their selling decision with regard to the real estate owned.

    One of the ways you, as a prospective real estate seller, can gather this intel, is to find one of the local real estate agents that is a believer in the “data”. The Sold Comparables, the housing market recon, the statistics via the Actual Multiple Listing Service and “outside” sources too.

    This maybe harder that it seems. Some Realtors only want to get you under contract without validating who they are and their track record.

    Maybe they have never sold the same type of home you want to sell. Maybe they are not from your area and have paid for your personal and private information when you inquired on one of the large Real Estate syndication Websites.

    The point being, make sure you are interviewing multiple real estate agents to keep safe. Ask them the hard questions with verification related to their responses.

    Have them show you how they are gathering the actual real estate intel for their real estate sellers. This is very important as the data does not mislead, it is factual and will assist you in making better decisions pertaining to the real estate you want to sell.
