Searching for Real Estate as Agents Do!

“In the Beginning…”  I won’t go there.  However, I remember not so many years ago, before inputing a listing on the internet – We had the client with our help fill out the Multiple Listing Data Sheet, take that plus $19.00 to the Board of Realtors to have it entered into the MLS system.

The Listing would go live within 24 hours and the printout was picked up at the Board by all of the Brokers at the many different real estate offices.

Shortly thereafter, we then were able to put listings on the market with a computer, MS DOS based program, and a dial up modem.  Disconnects were very frequent and frustrating.  The system was cumbersome and difficult to use.

A little time later, we had a software based internet input option – Faster connection speeds and the ability to give our clients passwords and usernames to search the MLS system.  The system was only local and only showed homes for sale within the Local Board’s Boundaries.  At the time – this worked very well.

That stopped as the internet and the Real Estate Search for Homes became more and more frequent by buyers and sellers.  There was money to be made, big money.  So Realtor.com, Homes.com, RealEstate.com and others were born, almost over night.  These systems became very large – very fast.  Today they are a Billion Dollar a Year industry.  You will notice this by all of the Ads and different levels of membership available to the Real Estate Agents.

In fact, some of the systems, promising more accurate searches and glimpses of “pending foreclosures”, charging a fee for buyers and sellers to join their search portal.

Back in 2008 – ListingBook was born.  I had the chance to speak with some of the staff who talked about the founders of the Listing Book technology.  They wanted to give Search back to the clients.  With up to the minute property updates and the ability to do many different things when it came to real estate comparison shopping.

It is a pay for service, by the Real Estate agents  to give their clients. We have it and love the way it works.  We can still set up a search for you – but this is all you will ever need.  Updated from the Source Data – Listing Book Gives Realistic and Fact based market comparisons, you can have the system notify you when a home that matches your criteria enters the For Sale Market.  As a Seller you can keep track of your competition with ease.

Communication with your Real Estate agent is a breeze.  If they have the “paid for” service they can set you up with an account.  Or you can do it yourself.  You can keep in contact with them easily and without issue.  Making notes on the properties that you find of interest so your agent can do the further and necessary inquires directly with the listing office and agent involved.

Check out our Video about the Listing Book Real Estate Search Engine.  It will redirect you within the first few seconds to log in if you already have a Listing Book account.  If you don’t you will go to the location to get yours today – May your Search be Fruitful!

If you agent does not have this service – you might want to mention it to them – so you can keep loyal and not go to someone that is employing the Listing Book Technology 🙂

The site you are quoting is not active as of yet? Would you please tell my audience how this will add value to their real estate quest?

Nice post. I be taught one thing more challenging on completely different blogs everyday. It will all the time be stimulating to learn content from other writers and observe a bit of something from their store. I’d choose to use some with the content material on my weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll offer you a link in your web blog. Thanks for sharing.

LOL – it is hard to keep up on all of the latest posts with all of the “junk” that is being spread around the internet. For sure. Thanks for making my Santa Clarita Real Estate Blog part of your reading. I also appreciate your comments.
