As you will see the restrictive housing inventory is keeping the local market within a home seller’s zone.

This week we also wrote a Santa Clarita real estate blog article for our home buyers. This was coupled with a housing real estate radio show where we spoke about what not to do when buying a home.

This article/radio show had to do with paying off a credit card within the escrow process. While you are in escrow, or after you have met with a lender for pre approval for a home loan, how paying off a credit card could harm your ability to finance real estate.

This week I wrote a Santa Clarita real estate article that mentions the pre market and coming soon real estate listings. They are one in the same and are used by real estate syndication websites in order to make money and maybe inform the public of a coming soon listing.

There aren’t any rules, except a promise for the listing to be actually “coming”. Also, in order to input a coming soon or pre market listing you must be a paying member of the real estate syndication website as a Real Estate agent.

While this seems like something which should not be allowed, it happens all day long. As far as the actual Board of Realtors, and their Multiple Listing Service system, it’s not allowed on their sites. Coming soon listings cannot be correctly vetted and cause issues in the real estate advertising and marketing venues. Pre marketing sites also create havoc amongst the home sellers and home buyers.

Open houses in real estate are a great way for the real estate agents to advertise themselves. The first viewers of an open house are typically the neighbors. Those Neighbors are “curious” and want to see how your home has been outfitted.

Within in this Santa Clarita real estate article I made sure to speak about three things you may not have known about open houses.

There are also specific ways to keep yourselves safe when wanting to view homes during open houses. Be safe and let me know if you have any questions.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation. Writing on their Real Estate Blog is a passion. is where you will find over 10,000 real estate articles. Go to to listen to their latest real estate radio broadcast.
