Santa Clarita Bank owned real estate – Santa Clarita Update

    There sure are a lot of terms being thrown around lately as to Foreclosures and other types of distressed real estate for sale.  These short explanations might be ofSanta Clarita short sale help assistance to the “novice or veteran Foreclosure Hunter”.

    • Pre-Foreclosure – Usually a home that is in some status of Foreclosure.  Could be a Short Sale where the owner is behind on payments.  It could be a property where a Notice of Default (NOD) has been filed – after three months of non-payment usually.
    • Real Estate Owned – A line item on a Bank’s Accounting Sheet – REO, is a property that is Bank Owned and that has completed the foreclosure process and is back in the bank’s possession.
    • Bank Owned – See Above – Real Estate Owned.
    • Foreclosure – Any property that has completed the Foreclosure Process.  does not matter whether it is investor owned, multiple investor owned, bank owned and does not indicate ownership of any kind.  It simply means the property in question has completed the Foreclosure Process.
