Real Estate Lenders that demand last minute items

    While not all real estate lenders are created equal, they are not a dime a dozen either.

    In fact, the same holds true about real estate agents on a local and nationwide level.

    As my Dad used to say, and I know not where he got it, “Son, there are old pilots and bold pilots, but there are very few old and bold pilots…”

    documentation that has to be turned over to the lender, you are using to borrow the money to buy a home.

    Fair enough, right?  However, what about when they are asking you for the same stuff over and over again? The same stuff that you have already given to them?

    It’s a pain in the arse. However, it will help move things along if you just do it without arguing.

    I know that is the way. While some realtors are not “client centered”, some lenders are too. Especially if they are those “busy types” of lenders.

    I have heard it a thousand times, from those in my industry and those in the lending world, “I’m sorry, they are not available, they are in a meeting.”  Or getting the response text message, “I’m in a meeting…”

    The problem is that most times there is no return call or return text, ever. You have to keep calling to get them on the phone. As they say, “the squeaky wheel gets the grease…”

    However, realize this, when you are buying a home, there is not only one lender in the world and the days of “creative and outside of the box – willing to take a bullet for you” lender types are not in existence.

    This is a reference to some lenders, those of the past, stating they can do it for you when none of the others could not. – There are strict Lending Guidelines and they are enforced by penalties charged to the lender that violates them.
