Mac – means “son of”. It would be in literal translation – Mac = Son – Iv – Bow – OR – Army
Son of a Bowman in the Army. Glad it was Bowman and not B__ch 🙂
There you have it, you know more than most about my last make.
Now to how it’s pronounced.
I had to create my names in Snagit because in this WordPress install I am stuck with only one font. That font does not have the top and bottom cross sections of the capital I (i).
If you say – Mac – LIke hey Mac or Buddy – then it’s – Ivor – Saying it fast it sounds like MacGuyver – that’s the TV show fella who’s good with tools.
Me – I’m not good with tools, but I have been known to know my way around guns and keyboards.
So there you go. I was able to build a blog post about the pronouncement of my last name – MacIvor. You can also call me “mac”, Connor or mother.
I’m Connor MacIvor and I’d love to be of great assistance with all your real estate needs and those of whom you know. Please reach out to me when you are ready. Even if you don’t pronounce my name correctly. I’m sure I have heard worse.
