Part II – What about building your on-line presence with your business

Read Part I of our Internet Marketing tips and strategies..

This brings me to your business – What do you say, who is your competition?  We sat down with a Farrier – that is a person that puts shoes on Horses and provides horse hoof care(I didn’t know either).  They are a Horseshoe installer 🙂 – I looked around Google and Bing – there is no one in the Farrier business that this cat will be competing with.  He is local to Los Angeles and vicinity and I turned him on to WordPress.

Paul Fields is a Los Angeles area horse shoe installerThe first thing we did is talked about his business.  Farrier – I had no idea what this was, until he explained it.  I then took him through Google’s keyword tool and we looked how people were searching for his type of business.  We found that people search for Horse shoe experts, horse shoe installers, and Farrier’s.  The next step was to buy a domain name – but before we did that, we needed to see what type of website would be best for him.

We decided on the optimized platform Word-press has to offer.  For 99 bucks, he was able to get a custom template – a wordpress dot com address – with a unique TLD(top level domain) – LosAngelesFarrier dot com, and he was off to the “races”!!!

There is a lot to know about the horse business – buying, selling, what to look for, looking at the hoofs as being a gateway to the over health of the horse.  I had no idea, but Paul is quite the expert.

He is going to start writing about his daily activities as a Los Angeles Farrier – He is going to come onto our Santa Clarita radio show to talk about his business in the near future.  It should be fun to learn more about the business of being a Farrier.

That is how we do it for our clients.  BTW – to guide someone in the seo and internet realm is completely free.  We are in the business of selling houses and representing buyers in the Santa Clarita Valley Cities.

But we play it forward on the internet front, quite often so others can achieve and be guided by a team that is not out to manipulate them, but wants to help for free and because it’s the right thing to do.

If you want to do something on-line with your business that is “above our pay-grade” , we know those people that do this for a living and we will be glad to refer you.  We found out the hard way what works and what doesn’t – and we are willing to share that knowledge so you don’t taken as we have been in the past.

Be Safe – let us know how we can help you and thanks for reading our two part series about how to build a permission based business on-line with real estate websites as an example.  Much appreciated.

Thanks for Wiki for lending us this photo – you can click here to access the Wiki Page for Farrier!!!

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation. Writing on their Real Estate Blog is a passion. SCVnest.com/blog is where you will find over 10,000 real estate articles.
