    Santa Clarita real estate advice

Working with both Buyers and Sellers in our Santa Clarita real estate business can be quite interesting at times.  There are those that we represent that just Love Pets, Pets of all Types!  There are others, however, that cannot stand them and the “talk of replacing” the carpet comes up while viewing a home that has been pet occupied.

If you are considering selling your Santa Clarita Home, this is a must read to be prepared for the Pet Lovers and Pet Haters.

Selling your home can be a daunting prospect if you are living in it during the process but if you own a dog working around him might be even more stressful. Dogs both add to our lives and complicate them at the same time, especially during the selling process. After all finding a spot for them during a showing is one thing, keeping their impact on your home to a minimum is an entirely different matter.

First off we all know that cleanliness is of the utmost importance during showings which means that you have to go out of your way to keep your home clean while trying to sell it. If you have a dog you need to make sure dog hair is kept at bay, dog beds are kept clean, dog bowls are kept out of the way, any dog odor is negated, and dog poop is kept off of your lawn. Take a deep breath because all of these items must be attended to on a daily basis.

Keeping your home clean is one thing, keeping your dog away from home during showings is another matter entirely. While there are plenty of dog lovers in the world there are also plenty of people who do not like dogs. If your dog can be elsewhere during showings potential buyers could be more comfortable. Dog sitters and doggy daycares are all over these days if your dog can’t be with you see if you could arrange for him to be elsewhere during the day.

Don’t forget about your dog when selling your home, he may have a greater impact than you realize. Keep your home fresh and clean and a buyer may never think twice about your four legged family member.

During our REMAX’s Paris911 Team’s Walk Through and Listing Prep, something that came by experience, we talk with our sellers with our team, prepare written reports and get their home so it will attract the BEST buyers offering the Best Compensation for the sellers residences.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
