If anyone is going to be “big” enough to put their “big boy” pants on and use email for their primary method of communication with others, they need to mosey up to the “spam bar” every once in a while.
How often? – Every Single Day when you are checking your regular email, take a second and click on the spam folder.
I know most of the internet based email systems and the private ones have email capable of placing certain messages into Spam Folders – Your’s is no different.
This Santa Clarita business blog post came about when a local Santa Clarita real estate agent did not accept a better offer for their seller’s home because of their neglect in checking in the spam folder.
In this particular case their seller lost 45 thousand dollars. That is what the real estate buyer wanted to pay over the listing price. The buyer was cash and their agent was livid. The agent called and left messages late in the PM. This particular Santa Clarita real estate agent apparently shuts down her phone after 7pm. (that’s a nice luxury 🙂 )
The offer was emailed – sent with a Video Email and then re-sent. Calls, texts and messages were left to ensure receipt However, the listing agent, per her own admission, did not check her spam folder. She also stated she was “over-run” with offers. Instead of being “over-run” I would have used the term, “Seller was blessed with offers..” Isn’t that the goal – multiple offers.
In addition, the seller chose not to counter any of the 12 offers received back. That seems to be a neglectful action on the part of the sellers agent. You never know what you will get until you counter. In addition, any of the offers that entered the “spam” folder, could be viewed as neglect by the buyers wanting to purchase the sellers home.
Check your spam folders when you check your regular email’s – It will save you a lot of heartache and maybe make you more $$$ in the long run…
