There are a lot of moving parts to selling off real estate because of a divorce.
One of the things we need to know is if the divorce is “friendly”. Most often they are not. Typically there is one party that feels more “distressed” than the other, or at least shows it more 🙂
Sometimes couples cannot be present in the same room with each other. They see the other party and stuff starts flying around the room.

Another “big item” that typically can cause huge issues is establishing clear methods of communication. How are the parties going to communicate? Are they going to be CC’d on every single email? Do they have to be included in every single phone call or communication? What about Text Messaging,? While not too good in court, maybe this is the way in which all parties agree to communicate with regard to the real estate transaction.
Just make sure the Realtor you are hiring that knows how to handle Divorced Real Estate Transactions. Make sure they explain to all parties how the system works and the best ways, from their experience, to handle obstacles that typically arise when couples are selling real estate due to divorce.
