How much is a client worth to you and your business?

Local Santa Clarita real estate businessWhen you are new at anything, a new business owner, a new employee, there is a learning curve.

Some things should be second nature, such as having a good heart, not wanting anyone taken advantage of and never misleading anyone.

However, if you have been around more than about two minutes on this planet, you will know this is on the same level as common sense – It’s all Rocket Science.

Not every real estate deal is easy. Some are very hard.  Sometimes agents make it difficult and sometimes buyers and sellers make it really hard.

The most important thing, from a Real Estate agent’s perspective, is to make sure the client walks away happy.  Make sure they felt as if you did your best to protect them all of the way.

More than “feeling”, you should have had their well being at the front, before your paycheck, before your commission, before you sold them anything.

Consider how much a happy client is worth.  They will send you referrals.  They will tell their friends and family that you did a great job.  They will even use your services again when they are ready to do what do what you do for a living.

However, consider a jilted, pissed off and neglected client.  You may as well kiss your reputation goodbye, with them and with everyone they know.

It’s hard to get a positive accolade from a happy client.  They are too busy or sometimes consider your good service to be the way it should be.

But an upset client?  Whew – they will make it their mission to bleed you dry.

Remember this, and if you are unable to do good to others just because it’s the right thing. Be scared of what they may do to you if you screw them over.

Be safe – search well and we appreciate you reading, commenting and sharing this.  I’m Connor MacIvor…

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
