How long will the Foreclosure Market continue in Santa Clarita and beyond

    Today, Nick – whom I have never met – called me and asked this question.  “How long do you think the foreclosure market will last?”  My first answer was 2 years, 3 months and 7 days.  He said, “Really?”  I said, “No, but I do have a lighter side..” 🙂santa clarita foreclosures

    He laughed which gave me the chance to explain about the current foreclosure market.  I explained there is a lot that has to re-right itself before we watch as the Foreclosures are reduced to 1% of the total available inventory.

    This applies to the Santa Clarita Valley and the rest of the country.  We have economics, unemployment, the election and other “grown up” factors to consider.

    I do know this for a fact.  With the “off market” inventory, such as we post on our Foreclosure Update Pages, we have at least a couple of years, at an “unhealthy” number of foreclosures, to contend with.

    The exact time frame? – No one knows for sure.  How we operate is by reading everything we can get our hands and eyes on that have to do with the changes in the laws, the banks profits, and other economic factors that are related to the housing industry.  We also pride ourselves on watching some of the factors that have nothing to do with the housing industry.

    We are certain that the Housing World is not out of the woods yet.  Just do yourselves a favor, get the best advice possible, work with only those that are Certified Foreclosure Experts, and do some googling before you settle down with one Realtor.
