How is your Santa Clarita real estate agent’s reputation?

How is your real estate agent’s reputation. Heck, what about yours? If you are a business owner or those that get found by people searching on-line, you may want to routinely google yourself and your business brand.

We use Google Alerts for this purpose, so if someone writes junk about Paris911, myself or Paris, we at least know it and don’t have to get told by another in our industry that wants to wipe our noses in it 🙂

However, some of those reviews of local Real Estate agents in Santa Clarita Valley are very well deserved. In some other cases, those writing the reviews held back and did not want to set fire to everything at once. When we bought our first home in 1996, we had a Santa Clarita real estate agent representing us that I will never forget. While I did not want to burn down his business, he did hurt my feelings 🙂

If at that time they did not have yelp or Google Reviews, if they did I probably would have done nothing. I just cannot tear others businesses down, even if they deserve it. There are two things that make me mad enough to ruin someone’s reputation. One is those that hurt and abuse children – the other are those that hurt and take advantage of the elderly. Two “trigger points” for me and that must be because of my LAPD background.

Today, I teach those in the Real Estate business how to protect themselves from the Predatory Reviewer. The first question I ask is who the person was that wrote the “horrible” review? If they say it was a past client, my job is done. That is something that cannot be fixed – that is the client’s opinion – I suggest to the agent they write a retort. Most don’t and I will never understand why.

If they have no idea – that is when I start advising how they can make it right. Your on-line reputation is important. No matter what business you are in. It matters not if you are just looking around on-line to date. Someone could cause your on-line reputation damage – keep a watchful eye and let us know what you thought of this post.

Please share and let us know if we can help you with Real Estate. That is what we do, along with wanting people to play it fair on-line.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
