During the past couple of weeks in the Santa Clarita Valley we are seeing similar trends between Single Family Homes and the Condos and Townhomes.
A quickie – the main differences between a condo and a townhome are these.
Condos are typically considered to be single story. As you may imagine or know an apartment to be.
Townhomes are typically considered to be multiple stories – having more than one level and potentially direct garage access.
In the Santa Clarita Valley we have both Condos and Town homes. Within the Cities of Canyon Country, Valencia, Stevenson Ranch and Saugus, we have the majority of the condominium developments.

One of the items that you will find interesting is the way the condos and townhomes have spiked in activity.
Prices are increasing while inventory in decreasing. We are hoping that this summer will change in the real estate realm in the way of more condo and town home inventory. Only time will tell.
