Today’s Real Estate Question was posed to us on Twitter earlier today and we thought we would answer in blog form. I will enable this post to correspond to the MacBoX term “AS IS”, immediately after I finish writing this blog post. This will help you find your way back here to see any and all updates for this AS IS posting.
When we are representing any real estate seller we want them to be educated as to what Buyers in the present day’s real estate venue are expecting when it comes to “repairs”. It could be that properties are moving so fast that Buyers are not expecting any repairs to be done. In fact, during 2004 and 2005, if a request for repair was submitted, the sellers did not even acknowledge the request. At that same time, there were several offers on every home for sale.
Today, it is a bit different. Have a watch and see how the “AS IS” clause is, when it comes to real estate repairs. It just might affect you when buying or selling a home.
