Being LAPD for so long, in the field, I have heard a lot of criminal vernacular. One of the things some of the gang members used to say was about “Crime Partners”. These were those that were closer to them than family. Closer than Brothers or Sisters. In fact, when their counterparts life was on the line, the “Crime Partner” would make the ultimate sacrifice if they could.
On the LAPD, we had “Partners”. “Partner” was the term inside of the LAPD that was closest to Crime Partner – without the “crime” element 🙂
There are some in the world that will be the evangelists to your business. While having people reveal themselves as Evangelists does not happen overnight, when it does happen it is very much a surprise.
After being in the Real Estate business since 1998, Paris and I have started to see those that talk about and preach our “why” to those in their sphere of influence without hesitation. Those that talk about your business like it’s their own – those are truly special people.
Being the best at something is truly an admirable trait. With real estate most agents are about the Buy, buy and buy some more philosophy. We are about the Relationship, the data, the market, those factors that equate to the best buying or selling decisions. After being able to provide that, the rest comes with time.
How do you take care of those that refer you? How to you show your love for them doing so?
