Historic lows related to Santa Clarita homes for sale

    Tracking back on the “active” real estate listings, we see that we have had plenty of times where inventory has been low. However – 2018 has taken pole position related to the lowest amount of active real estate listings for sale.

    When there is adequate home buyer drive in the Santa Clarita Valley cities, we see that lacking inventory creates pressure on those home buyers and create a home seller’s market.

    A sellers real estate market is one in which particular advantages go to the home seller. It could be that the home seller is planning to refuse any request for repairs that the buyer may be intent on making.

    Another option, not continuing to put the horse before the cart, is the home seller may not consider any offers that are financing with less than 20% down payment.

    We view the Santa Clarita real estate market to continue on this path, at least for now. To have excessive inventory would be to switch the home buyers market to have the advantage.

    That time will come and we will keep our Santa Clarita real estate clients updated as to when that will be.
