Have You Thought About Your Santa Clarita Garage Lately?

selling real estate in Santa Clarita

When showing properties in the Santa Clarita Valley, whether they are our listings or whether they are another agent’s listings – we always seem to get down to the down and dirty when it comes to garages.  In fact, some buyers tell me that the “origination and cleanliness” of a garage might indicate how well the rest of a “for sale” home was taken care of.

If you are selling your home you should really ask yourself if you have thought about your garage lately. Many people think about their garages often, in terms of boy, I really need to make some time and organize my garage, but if you are selling your home it is important to realize that your garage, and how it appears to a potential home buyer, really is important.

Storage is an important component of a home and when a home is for sale the storage, or lack thereof, is noticed by people looking to buy. Storage spaces need to appear organized, clean, and practical. Because the garage is most likely the largest storage space in your home it is imperative that you do not forget about it.

So, if you are selling your home, stop putting off the cleaning and clearing of your garage. Make it look useful even when a car is parked in it. Look around and get some ideas, there are a lot of storage solutions out there and your garage could become the magnet that will draw a buyer to your home!

A cheap and quick fix to most cluttered Garages would be for you to go to Walmart or Target and get some of those stack-able plastic containers and get to work.  You won’t believe how they can turn a garage that is in shambles into a work of art!

BTW – You will want to get in the Know for our Market Snapshot Resource.  If you are a Seller of Santa Clarita Real Estate or a buyer of the same – it works well and will have you a custom report generated in about 30 minutes.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
