I know those other agents that are on the same page as Paris and I are – totally get what I’m about to say.
“I call you on a listing in which you tell me the seller’s don’t want to show until Monday – One you put onto the market on the preceding Friday. On Sunday, while reviewing the Santa Clarita Open Houses – I see that same listing being held open by You a day before the sellers are willing to show it????” – posted on Google+ and on Facebook – Is this the right way to do business?
While it may not be the “right way” or the “ethical way” to conduct one’s real estate business, it is very common. There are several things that some “listing agents” do in order to capture buyers themselves – most of them make me cringe. Within every real estate transaction there is an allowance for the buyer of a home, condo or town-home to secure their very own representation.
This is very close to the same reason you would not want the plaintiff’s attorney representing you as the defendant – There is a HUGE conflict of interest.

So, the commentary was “deceitful”. That is wrong, that sucks, that agent needs to be taken out to the tool shed. I’d have to agree with all of those things. To clarify, a Better response when I called and inquired about the home for sale would have been for the agent to have told me, “We are having an open house this Sunday, why don’t you bring your clients by?” That was not the indication I got from the beginning. It was that the property would not be shown until Monday per the sellers request.
Have a GREAT Sunday – that is my Gripe and we will talk soon.
