Future foreclosures could be the NOD Filings by the banks

    Foreclosure intel is coming to us from the Banks who are still filing the NOD’s.

    Defined – NOD – Notice of Default.

    A mechanism, to notify the courts of the failure to pay of the home owner on their mortgage.

    Some of the NOD filings don’t go through with the owner of a home losing it.

    Some of the NOD’s you are going to view on our Foreclosure Radar Resource will be salvaged by the individual homeowners.

    Most of the NOD’s have to do with not paying a mortgage in excess of 90 days. Some go much longer than that before the bank’s file.

    In some cases, it can be filed at 1 day late over the 30 day payment period. Most banks do not file the NOD this soon due to people missing a payment from time to time depending on the market.
