Full Time Husband and Wife Team of Real Estate Agents

    We were called a few days ago, the caller was a bit upset saying that he had been dealing with a “real estate team“.  Apparently the “team”, he was referring to, was with RE/MAX as well.

    I am not sure why I received the phone call, but personally producing video’s on  “the how to in real estate”  did not hurt.  In fact, the caller mentioned he had seen some of our video’s, probably as he was attempting to get the main number to REMAX to complain.

    He continued…  He hired a Real Estate team.  He interviewed one of the “team leaders”, you know – one of the names you see on the Real Estate Signs or on the Real Estate Websites.  After he signed on the “dotted line” with the “team leader”.  That was it.  There was no contact from the “team leader or the partner of the team leader – His wife”.  The Seller had been passed along to some type of assistant, probably licensed – but he did not clarify and probably did not know.

    What he was bent about had to do with communication and being accountable. He had questions that required the same “pitchman” that came to his house and gave him the information about selling his home. He told the “assistant” this.  He was still not contacted.  BYAM (Between you and me), I’m thinking that the assistant did not want to get into trouble with his “bosses” so the messages were never forwarded.

    Mr. Seller called the wife part of the Real Estate Husband and wife team.  The phone that was listed for her, was being forwarded back to the “male” part of the Real Estate team.  Mr. Seller, so frustrated, called RE/MAX to speak with the manager or broker.  He was not sure who he wanted to speak with, but neither did the receptionist.  I was on the floor (love this about RE/MAX) and received the call.

    I picked up the phone – “It’s Connor”, I said – The rest is history.  This Seller is under contract with another agent.  I was there, but could not say much.  I re-directed him to the Office manager.  But not after having Mr. Seller vent about his bad experience.

    Paris is my Wife – I am Connor – We are who you are hiring – We are who you deal with. Unlike most husband and wife teams, where one of the parties is “name only” and not an active part of the daily working of the Real estate Team, we are both “present and accountable”.

    We don’t have you sign any “self-attorney drafted” contracts.  You sign real CAR forms, California Association of Realtors.  There are also no “Shall never disclose” requirements if you list with Paris911 or “proprietorially secret oath’s” that are used by Paris and I when representing sellers.

    You are hiring Paris911 – that is Paris and Connor(aka 911).  We made a decision a long time ago. “If we have to take less on, as far as business, but as long as we are doing 100% on customer service and with client care, we are doing the right thing.” Our Business is dependent on Accolades and Referrals.  With some Real Estate Teams,  you have one part that is viewed as “window dressing”.

    Paris might be easy on the eyes – but she is the most savvy and ruthless negotiator I have ever met.  Never directed to our clients – but toward the other side of the transaction. She get’s our clients what they want and has been the cornerstone of our Real Estate Business.

    We are both Present – We both work side by side – We are always updating each other and talking to everyone about our Sellers Listings and our Buyers’ needs.  Being about our clients is not just a clever quote – it is our way of life.
