Lest we forget – the “face to face” contact was key before the advent of the internet and it still is. The sales people of old continued to press forward no matter the odds. They knew that the famed “7 touch” is still the most advantageous way to meet new clients and adopt them in the utilization of the salesperson’s products or services.
With Social Media and the internet – some sales people and service providers have forgotten their roots. When we ask within a Blog Post to Like on facebook or Re-tweet a particular blog post – people do it. If we don’t ask, either out of pride or ignorance, then it is not liked on facebook or re-tweeted.
Ask and you shall receive… A saying that goes “way back”. When you are out and about there is nothing that can compare with the personal and one on one contact – introductions – looking someone in the eye – grasping their hand and introducing yourself.
