I totally think that “will power” is underrated. If you watch the infomercials during the night, you will see that they have a pill that can help in place of “Will Power”. They have some magic formula that can starve off cravings and help you to get lean. Some device, band, lucky rabbits foot, all of these things may work temporarily, but you need to exercise your “will power”.
I know you may be thinking I am speaking about Will Power as if it’s a muscle. I am. I know from direct experience that Will Power is just like a muscle. The more you use it the stronger it gets. There is no way that I could have stuck to an Atkins Way of Life, keeping my carbs as close to zero since April 16, 2012 – Today is August 28, 2012.
I don’t have to exercise my will power muscle all of the time. In fact, much of the time I don’t need it at all. But in the beginning I called on the power of will power frequently. I told myself, If It is not on my plan, I’d rather starve. If I had a question about the content and if I could not get a verified answer to what was in the food being served, I’d rather starve.
