    Do you Google Yourself and your Santa Clarita Business?

    If you are on the internet with reference to your Santa Clarita Business – you have no doubt typed in your type of business followed by the words or proceeding the words “Santa Clarita”.

    The reason you do this is because if you are not being seen on the internet – you are not being seen by the 87% of consumers that search the World Wide Web before they leave their homes to get your product or service.Google Adwords and Organic Searches

    Search engine optimization, banner ads, keywords, and keyword phrases are all the BUZZ today.  You probably have gotten calls from companies that “specialize” and are “google endorsed”, stating they can place your business on the first page, either in the sponsored results or within the organically optimized listings that display on page 1.

    “How much”, you ask excitedly…  “A $99.00 set up and $250.00 a month”, the caller responds.  Not a bad deal to get a sponsored ad with a single phrase of keyword related terms – But is really a great value?  If you don’t know any better – you might jump at it.  When I was not digesting the Internet and SEO game as I am now, I have to admit, I spent way too much money to get on page 1 of Google, sponsored and organic.

    When you ask me what my ROI was, Return on Investment – I would have to say very small.  My True ROI is an appointment in person at my office or at a client’s residence.  That is the True Return on Investment for our Internet marketing strategy.

    It was not until I started to read, digest and write content via a Weblog (known today as a Blog for short), that we started to climb up in the search engines and start hitting on page 1 with the organic search results on Bing and Google.

    What is the ROI today?  It is better.  I have found out that people that are savvy enough to search the internet for businesses, widgets, products and services (like real estate), like to see who is who in the zoo and what they have to say about the particular industry or craft.

    In the presentation the consumer, client, becomes more comfortable and will eventually pick up the phone or send an email to schedule an appointment.

    The content I write is all mine – my Blogs are operated by a vendor.  My website content is all mine – My website is operated by a vendor.  I know that I am passionate about Real Estate – as you are about your Santa Clarita Business.  I know a very limited amount of HTML and the “how to” with reference to website building and blog installation.  I trust others to maintain the Plumbing for my internet resources – but I only trust myself and my team to write the content that clients have become accustomed to love!
