    I cannot tell you how many times that we have had these discussions come up between our Team and other Agents in our Networking Groups. It seems to be a problem with some of the agents that don’t explain the market to those that are working with



    The BEST thing a Real Estate agent can do is talk about the market with their clients. Keeping anyone in the dark is never a win for anybody. See the Santa Clarita real estate market reports

    In order to do this, agents are going to have to break out of their shell. They are going to have to invest time upfront with their clients, before showing properties. In our humble beginnings, we were known as the type of agents that would meet with clients after a phone call about a property they had interest in.


    I can count on one hand how many times that worked out in a real estate purchase. Besides that, I can count on one hand how many times that turned into a “Client for Life”.

    However, when Paris and I decided to make a rule that we will not represent any real estate client, without first meeting with my team and me at my office, that is when the tides turned for us. Shortly there after – Clients for Life were everywhere.

    We do a lot in this Meeting with our clients. We discuss the real estate market. We get to know our clients. We give them insight into who Paris and I are. We also give them tactics to use when wanting to search for real estate. Information about how our clients can be best poised to get what they want. What steps can they adhere to in order to get their first offer accepted. We also talk about the lending process. What questions to ask a lender. The what and why of closing costs. New housing, real sale housing, foreclosures, notice of defaults, pre foreclosures, short sales, bank owned real estate, real estate owned homes, investments, condo’s, town-homes and more.

    The most important part of our Buyers Briefing, aka our Crash Course on Real Estate, is our “market update”.

    When an agent takes the time to give a potential client first – without focusing on Commission to be earned, they are earning a client for life.
