Could a decline in rental prices mean that the real estate market is going to relax?

    Curious about Rentals – Paris911.com/rent

Just when you thought it was safe to jump into buying a home, now I spring this on you.

However, this is not concrete data – meaning, this is what has been observed within the Cities that compose the Santa Clarita Valley – Castaic, Canyon Country, Newhall, Stevenson Ranch and Valencia – It has not been HUGE and It also has not been tons of real estate rental listings. Calling Santa Clarita real estate agents

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been watching the rentals that are currently “for rent” in the SCV. I have also seen 17 rental listings that have had their prices reduced – 9 of those were purchased by investors.

So, one of two things happened. Either an over zealous real estate agent gave the investors bad numbers as far as how much rentals are going for – or – the real estate rental market is becoming saturated.

If the rental market is becoming saturated, will that drive prices down? No – but it will slow down the amount they are increasing in price on the “residential re-sale market”.
