Your locality does not make a difference between a First time buyer in the Santa Clarita Valley versus a First time buyer in Kalamazoo. They both have the same questions and concerns as it pertains to real estate. They also will experience the same stress level during the process. However, the real estate buyer in Santa Clarita Valley may have more paperwork to do when it comes to buying real estate 🙂
Some of the top real estate concerns we hear from our first time Santa Clarita home buyers are about changing their minds. Our SCV home buyers want to be sure they know when it’s too late to cancel the transaction.
Another “top item”, is knowing they are getting a good deal on their loan and on their interest rate. Lending and Loans for a mortgage regarding a First time buyer have fee’s that are paid by the home buyer in the form of closing costs. The buyer pays the lender’s fee, so they are wanting to ensure they are not getting railroaded in the process.
Sometimes, most times, a first time home buyer will experience some doubt pertaining to if they made the right choice within the escrow process. “Did I buy the right home?”, “Should I have waited to buy a home?”, “Can I really afford this home?”, “Will something better come onto the market?” – Great questions and very common amongst the First time home buyer’s we have represented in the Santa Clarita Valley Cities.
During our tenure in real estate. Paris911, our first brand, was established back in 1998. It was soon after we were embraced by the Police Officer, Deputies Sheriff’s, and Military – both active duty and veterans. Over the next few years we observed the private sector coming aboard to want us to represent them with their real estate needs. Both buyers and sellers from the civilian population have been part of our business model shortly after our 1998 start.
Both Cops and Civilians have the same concerns when it comes to buying for the first time. In fact, first time home buyer or not, you are going to be experiencing the same emotions no matter how often you buy real estate.
We talk with our clients. We speak to our first time and veteran home buyers. We make full disclosure part of our process and don’t “hide any facts” related to you buying real estate. If you have 21 days to cancel the transaction after you enter escrow, you will know it. If you have 17 days to remove all contingencies after the opening of escrow, we explain what that means.
If there is a “passive” removal of contingencies, which means you will loose your deposit and maybe having the home seller come after you for a total of 3% if you cancel escrow after this point, you will know it for certain.
On the other side, you will know your rights. You will know what you can do as a First time home buyer and why you should. If a home is sold as is, which all are, we will navigate you through the home inspection, the home appraisal and make sure you address every concern. If you don’t know what you should be concerned about, I will explain these things to you during your home buying process.
When it comes to Being a First time home buyer, it’s a huge step. There are some in the world who don’t want you taking advantage of the benefits of home ownership. These would be “Landlords”. 🙂 – Why would they want you to buy a home when you can rent theirs and make their mortgage payment so they get the tax advantages?
Bottom Line – buying real estate is a very dynamic process. There are many steps and you will need a good guide. You need someone who is going to be transparent, has experience and the proper knowledge to represent you in the best way when it comes to procuring real estate.
Be safe, thanks for taking the time to read my dissertation on First Time home buyers concerns, as we have experienced from first time home buyers in the Santa Clarita Valley and elsewhere in Southern California where we been their representatives
