However, while that is extremely important, that is not what I am writing about today.
I am writing about pets that do not pose a problem to the visitor. While you will want to take every precaution to make sure your pets do not attack, maim or hurt the potential home buyer, what about the home buyer?
What about those people that are viewing your home? What if they have a true dislike for pets and what if they are of the abusive sort?
While their real estate agent should keep them from harming your pets, some people cannot help themselves.
If you have a dog that does not harm anyone, but barks incessantly, your loving pet could become a target very easily.
If you have a parrot or some other type of pet, the same could occur.
Suggestion is to advise your realtor and be guided by their experience and advice when it comes to selling and having your home shown with pets being present.
You will be glad you did.
Thanks for listening and reading about protecting your pets when selling real estate. It’s always an honor and reach out to us when you are ready to MOVE…
