However, we have buyers that express they are more interested in one particular neighborhood in Valencia – Stevenson Ranch or (insert any city name) here.
When we have our buyers briefings those that have chosen to work with the Paris911 team, this comes to the surface during our crash course on real estate.
Some love the neighborhoods that are close to the freeway. Others love the neighborhoods closer to the Paseos(Santa Clarita’s walking, biking and running path system). For other Santa Clarita real estate buyers, it’s being close to the mall.
Depending on age range, close (within walking distance) proximity to schools are also an often requested item when buyers are explaining their specific home buying needs.
The Santa Clarita Valley neighborhood and all that it has to offer is a priority for homebuyers. This means for many buyers the vision of white picket fences and perfect homes in suburbia is changing to include the ease of everyday living and the amenities necessary to create easy living.
The savvy Santa Clarita real estate Buyers today are choosing to live in communities that have amenities within walking distance, including parks, schools, shops and restaurants. The more convenient the location is, the more attractive the home.
A recent study by the National Association of Realtors noted that more buyers than ever are looking to live in a neighborhood that offers grocery stores, dining and shopping mixed in with homes.
In other words, mixed-use residential areas are more “in” than ever. There has been much talk of walkability in recent years, and this re-prioritizing of buyers’ desires adds to this premise.

When selling a home it is important to market your neighborhood’s highlights. Whether you are located within walking distance of the best restaurant in town, the post office or a great park take the steps necessary to make it known. This also points out to homebuyers the strength of resale values when buying a home in a convenient location. The number one rule of real estate is location, and location is meaning more urban and less remote these days.
