    Green building in the SCVNew building in the Santa Clarita Valley seeks to be green.  A new business center in Valencia broke ground this week and is designed with the environment in mind.  The new buildings, known as the Avalon Business Center, will be LEED certified, focussing on energy efficiency, interior air quality, and water efficiency.  In addition sensors will have lights turn on when needed.  In all there will be four buildings in the new Valencia commercial center.

    The philosophy behind green building is two-fold, be kind to the environment and save money at the same time.  The new industrial buildings in the Santa Clarita Valley will be efficient, utilize renewable resources and be energy efficient, encompassing new technology that will help the community.
