That photo – means a lot to me. So hence having it professionally mounted.
Recently my dad died. Well, by American standards, he should be called my father in law.
I have known him since 1991 – when I met and married his daughter, Paris…
For all intensive purposes I knew him better than my own biological father. I will tell you that the pain was not less than when I lost my biological dad back in 2004, that’s for sure.
Now would be the second time I would want a photo professionally mounted.
For my biological dad – my sisters, nor my mother, had his photo mounted by a professional – I wish they would have, but I was over 1000 miles away when the decision was made.
I have a box of photos which are degenerating that should be preserved and need to be. I can take pictures of them and have them saved on my computer or on the cloud. But to have them mounted would equate to them being able to be enjoyed in a tactile way by all my friends and family!
This time, I held all the cards and went to FastFrame in Valencia. I had not been inside before and after going through the event of the loss of my dad, I wish I had.
This is how clean his exit from this life was to the next. While he was in hospice in my home, while we all stood around his bedside, with our hands on him – he took his last breath at 1405hrs on New Year’s eve 2015… Talk about A Postcard Exit – it was beautiful.
There is no way I was going to go to Costco or Walmart to buy a frame and do a self mounting job. Been there and done that with certificates I did not care about.
I’m talking about a photograph that I needed preserved for a long time. The presentation needs to be something that will be talked about, simple yet elegant. You can tell how much someone cared by the quality of the framing.
Randy and Rose Burzynski were on the receiving end of my request. As I walked in the door, they were both behind the counter and you know what? They were really nice. Absolutely nice…
Strangely Nice. (that was from my lapd background)… But, their being nice was not made up. That is who I deduced they were by the end of our time together.
They asked all the right questions. They talked about their process with regard to the mounting. The spoke with me about options and they were able to show me how the “framed” photo would look after the mounting had been completed.
Ok – I’m sold. I know, you know, you can put your photos on an iphone – You can view them on an iPad – but there is nothing like holding a framed photograph in your hand. Remember when that was the only choice? Call them – they are absolutely wonderful….
Fast Frame – Randy and Rose Marie Burzynski – They own the store and they are absolutely wonderful…
