Google has the market cornered as far as search, pay per click, social media and internet presence.
They are literally all over the place.
But there are some “haters” in the world that attempt to ignore Google.
Some take the line from “Glengarry Glen Ross” literally, as Pachino said, “I say bet, the other way…”.
Currently, there is no other way. Sure there are “other” search systems, like Bing, that work well. I use them from time to time, but my focus is on the big dog which is Google, for now.
Maybe things will change in the future, and another upcoming and search engine will trump them. Maybe Facebook will create a search engine? Possibly Apple will make one? Who knows, but for now, Google is the King of the Mountain.
So hence, love on them. Use their services and make sure you link to the places that show you in their results, i.e. Google Maps.
If you have not gotten a Local Places Ad for your “real” business, you should start there(link at bottom). Tie that local places ad in with Google Plus and pay attention to it by responding as “that person”, sharing as “that person”, and linking to that Google Plus Page.

When you have your local business appearing on the Google Map Interface, by name, it means a lot to those that are utilizing your services. So we wrote about it.

You can see some commonality, but the thing that Google Loves is the fact we have them displayed prominently. It does not hurt, it helps immensely.
