Bad Santa Clarita real estate websites

watchout-for-real-estate-website-tricksIf you are wanting to search for real estate you should be able to do so from any device. You should be able to search securely on an HTTPS enabled real estate website. It would also be better if the website which you used was accurately showing what homes were actually for sale.

You maybe familiar with Real Estate Syndication Websites. That won’t be the best search engine you could use.

Maybe you are running qualitative searches on google – asking who the best is or what the best home search engine is in the Santa Clarita Valley?

The Multiple Listing Service is the system you want to use, but even that left in some agent’s hands can get you into trouble and start off with a misleading tone.

I was researching our SSL article about encrypted real estate websites and came upon a discovery.

There is a real estate website, owned by a local, which is touting 16,244 properties for sale in the Santa Clarita Valley Area.

That is a Lie – there are not that many real estate listings for sale in the “santa clarita valley area”. While that statement can be construed to mean an area larger than the entire Santa Clarita Valley Area – How much larger can it be?

I ask because in all of Southern California, there are only 12,780 real estate listings for sale. This includes all residential housing types and land. That is total. As of the date of this posting 03232017 – 1241hrs.

That is in all of Southern California.

I get it. The agent wants to show as if they have “more” real estate listings for sale than other website when it comes to being populated with real estate listings for sale in the Santa Clarita Valley Areas.

The agent wants to convert more real estate buyers and sellers, wanting them to think he has the real estate market cornered. The fact of the matter is the agent is really not giving today’s home searcher enough credit. They know better and hate that game more than I, in most cases!

That is the same game played by some of the online real estate syndication websites, who are publishing for sale listings which are not obtainable by the public, including those who have had notice of defaults filed against them.

The best way to search for homes and real estate is to use a system which is fed by the Multiple Listing Service. The MLS is the system where the residential real estate listings is uploaded to. That system is updated frequently – instantaneously at the board of Realtors Level then within a few minutes within the SCVnest.com system.

The system you are using should also give mobile results for those people who don’t like real estate apps. Talk about being tracked – the APP’s have the market cornered on search which is being watched.

When you are on your home search website of choice, also check for the Secure Site icon within your browser window. I wrote an article about searching on secure and encrypted websites – it will be helpful – see the start of my rant about real estate accuracy on local websites.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
