7 ways we make our first time Santa Clarita home buyers comfortable

Real estate looks very easy. It can be. We have had others that I worked with on the LAPD give it a shot. Most failed. It’s not like being a cop. In real estate, you have to be the prime mover. You have to be the one that takes action. As a Realtor, you cannot wait for orders or you will cause your clients to suffer ineptitude.

Picking up the phone to find the caller has a suitcase full of money, is sitting outside one of the other agent’s listings, asking me to meet him so I can represent him in the buying of the home.

Out of the thousands of real estate clients I have had, that has only happened twice and the money was not in a suitcase. It was in a bank account. 🙂

I function in real estate like I used to teach firearms manipulation. So well practiced that I made it look fluid and smooth.

Here are the 7 ways I take care of our first time Santa Clarita home buyers.

    1. Showing them how they can save money on a loan and financing – Financing real estate is what most home buyers will have to do to buy. I explain the questions to ask the lender to ensure my Santa Clarita home buyers gets their best deal. Also, I’m a watchdog to the lending process for my home buyers, I’m always watching and verifying.

    2. Always answer their questions completely – The only stupid question is the one what wasn’t asked. It’s importans to demonistrate patience and adjust to the clients operating speed.Being patient when asked a question is very important. No one should ever be cause to embarass someone.

    3. Provide an overview of the real estate buying process – This part of our interview for our first time home buyers is known as the crash course on real estate. We cover the A – Z of the local Santa Clarita home buying process.

    4. Take the buying process step by step – We take the buying process at our buyers speed. Some are quick, not wanting to read contracts and just signing (not recommended). Some home buyers want to read everything. With each buyer type and with those in the middle, I always take buying real estate step by step.

    5. Ask questions to reveal their own wants and needs – There is nothing like having a professional on your side when making a large transaction. Especially one like real estate with all of it’s players and moving parts. I reveal questions that you would have never had asked on your own. I pose questions that even savvy home buyers would not have thought of. I advise in that manner and it has served our Santa Clarita home buyers well.

    6. View as many homes as it takes to find the right one – I am a few top agents networking groups in the Santa Clarita Valley. Also, in other business oriented groups that have me as the only realtor with other business professionals. I have heard on more than one occassion stories of agents limiting the showings of real estate to a certain number. That flabberghasts me!

    7. Explore future time using current statistics – What is going to happen to the real estate market and is now a good time to buy? That is the question that,  most times, requires a crystal ball. While no guarantees can be made, the trend of any market is dependent on several followable factors. I explain those to our home buyers when speaking about the Santa Clarita real estate market. I have experienced a bad fall of the real estate economy and we survived.

I’m Connor MacIvor with REMAX and I’m a local real estate agent in Santa Clarita and Valencia CA. Working with first time home buyers has its advantages. First of all, they are wonderful. Secondly, helping someone buy their first home is really wonderful for the servant. Third, they need good guidance that is timely and well educated. I sincerely enjoy that process and am here for my First Time Santa Clarita home buyers.

    Paris and Connor MacIvor

Connor and Paris MacIvor are in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide, starting their real estate business in 1998 with RE/MAX Gateway - Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. Their becoming licensed real estate consultants and representatives came from the horrible experience they had when they bought their first home. There were many things that the agent they had hired did not explain and disclose, which per law he should have. Getting that agent on the phone after they closed escrow and after he had gotten paid was impossible. Paris and Connor called the broker, the board of realtors, the office manager and all they received was the promise of a phone call back. The remedy did come, but not as fast and in the way they wanted. That act - that bad agent was the reason why Paris and Connor became Realtors. That was all they needed to vow to never let the same fate befall anyone else, that befell them. Today Connor and Paris are focused on client service. Protection and top-shelf service with regard to their real estate clientele. They primarily work within the Santa Clarita Valley and Valencia CA. However, for a referral, where 80+ of their business is referrals they have License and Will Travel to other parts of Ventura County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County to handle real estate transactions for those who trust their real estate operation.
